Demian MaiaThis is a short notice matchup because of a series of injuries and I think this is a tougher match up for Maia than Alan Belcher would have been simply because of the styles of these fighters. Maia is a master on the ground no doubting that but all fights start standing up and that’s the weakest part of his game, he likes to lean forward looking to clinch then get it to the ground, Miranda is a tall guy with long limbs and is a solid Muay Thai fighter he can work on the outside with kicks and punches and when it goes to the clinch he has short strikes that can really do damage, so when Maia is leaning forward he could get caught and when he clinches to get to the ground again he’s going where Miranda is strong but as long as he is careful he should be able to get it to the ground somewhere Miranda is totally outmatched in this one. It should make for an interesting fight and there is a possibility of an upset but as long as Maia doesn’t spend to much time standing with Miranda he should be able to get it to the ground and get the submission.
